Kipara Tropical Rainforest Retreat is conveniently located just 2km outside the main hub of Airlie Beach, in the eastern suburb, Jubilee Pocket. Located at walking distance are supermarket, liquor store, restaurants, pub and bistros.
Public Transport also stops at our front door on a frequent basis.

DRIVING
By road, 125 km from Mackay and 60 km south of Bowen, on Queensland’s coastal Bruce Highway is the town of Proserpine. From its northern outskirts, turn off at the well indicated signage to Airlie Beach. Once on Shute Harbour Road, a 20km drive will take you straight into the heart of Airlie Beach. Drive through the main street of Airlie Beach and continue for another 2km in the direction of Shute Harbour. On your right hand side you will see an IGA Shopping Centre. We are located just 300m from the IGA Shopping Centre, on the right hand side.

FLYING
Daily flights arrive from all major capitals to the town of PROSERPINE (Whitsunday Coast Airport)

The shuttle service Whitsunday Transit will take you directly at our front door and can be booked directly in the airport’s arrival lounge.

Direct flights also land daily on HAMILTON ISLAND. If landing at Hamilton Island Airport, a ferry service will take you on the mainland of Airlie Beach. The ferry can be pre-booked through us or booked on-location through Fantasea or Cruise Whistundays Ferry services. .

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Public buses run on Shute Harbour Road the main street of Airlie Beach 7 days/week, at 20 min intervals. The AIRLIE COVE bus stop is the closest to KIPARA, at only 10m from the reception office.
